My idea of a dream house has really evolved over the years. Back in junior high, we had to design a house. Mine was quite elaborate being U-shaped with the garage in the middle of each floor, with an elevator to get to each one, a swimming pool on the second floor and very few bedrooms. I wanted to scan it, but I couldn't find it.
Now, my dream house would be a bungalow with main floor laundry, 2 bedrooms, and office and a good sized kitchen. I've discovered that I'm very particular about kitchens. This surprises me since I don't cook very much, but I do think that if I had a bigger, better laid out kitchen, I would start to cook more. One main thing that I want my kitchen to have is big drawers instead of lower cupboards. I find lower cupboards annoying especially since I have a hard time bending down to get something from the back of the cupboard.
I want to have a nice porch/patio area, and don't really want to have to do any yard maintenance.

Day 14-a non-fictional book
As I stated in my previous post, I really don't all that much. I can't really remember the last time that I read a non-fiction book. So I really don't have much to say for this post.

Day 13-a fictional book
I don't read a whole lot any more (mostly because I'm too cheap to buy books, and have a huge library fine) but I have been reading books by Ruth Ann Nordin on my iTouch. She writes historical romances.
There was one of her stories that I could relate to. It was called "Eye of the Beholder". It is a story about a woman, who spent her whole life thinking she wasn't pretty, so she answers an ad for a mail order bride and moves to Nebraska. The man who wrote the ad turns her down flat, but another local man sees her and marries her on the spot because he can see her inner beauty. She struggles through out the book with her feelings and second guesses on her husbands love for her and can't imagine why he would love someone who isn't pretty.

Day 12 - something you are OCD about
I've never thought of myself being OCD about anything so I've really had to think about this one.
Two things come to mind:
1. I can not sleep if any part of my body is hanging over the edge of the bed. Be it hand, foot, leg or arm, if it's not on the bed, I can not fall asleep.
2. When making a recipe that calls for canned tomatoes, I HAVE to use Alymer brand Whole Tomatoes, and I have to go through the tomatoes one at a time and cut out the little core, make sure there are not bad spots, and finally make sure there are no little bits of skin hanging on.
