Day Two Favorite Movie

I have watched so many movies over the years that it's hard to choose just one as my favorite.  But, I would have to say that Center Stage is my favorite movie.  After I first saw it, I bought it on VHS and then when I saw it on DVD I just had to have it.  There are so many good songs from the movie, that I have also downloaded onto my iPod.

Day One - Favorite Song

There is one song that always comes to my mind when I'm going to be embarking on something new, or am afraid to try something new  It's a song that I first heard when I watched the movie "Save the Last Dance".  The final song of the movie is entitled All or Nothing, and the lyrics encourage me to remember that fear will only hold me back from my dreams, and in order to live my dream I need to look past the fear and just go for it.  Click the link below to have a listen.

I would walk 500 miles...

...if I could, but right now my goal is to walk 13 miles on September 12, 2010.

As part of my training for this goal, I have registered to participate in the 5K Walk for Arthritis on May 30, 2010 at the Forks in Winnipeg.

I have seen how arthritis has affected the lives of friends and family, and I have pledged to help raise money for arthritis research.

If you would like to sponsor me, please click on the link, or if you would rather not use the online site, email me and let me know.

Walking

So, I have a plan.

First of all the goal: To walk to half marathon at the Queen City Marathon in Regina on September 12, 2010.

Ever since I broke my legs, I made a goal of walking in a half marathon before I turned 30. Well, as many of you know, the big 3-0 is this year, so it's now or never.

So, I have a plan.

I have three walk dates planned, and I'm open to more if anyone knows of more.

May 8, 2010: Physio Fit Run (3 KM)
May 30, 2010: Walk to Fight Arthritis (5 KM)
June 20, 2010: Winnipeg Free Press 10K Walk (10 KM)

I figure this is a good "stepping stone" plan of getting ready for the half marathon.

So, I have a plan, now I must put it in motion.

HELP!

So, it looks like Grant and I will be staying in our bachelor suite, for at least another 6 months, and I'm at a loss as to what I can do to make the space more usable, and to get (and keep) everything organized. Anyone have any suggestions (or the spare time to come and help me organize our apartment)?

I can provide pictures if needed.

Right now I'm at a loss, and really, really need to get it organized.

Making a List and Checking It Twice...

As Christmas is fast approaching, I'm constantly thinking about what still needs to be done before the family events. Unfortunately, the list keep growing instead of shrinking.

To Do:

Finish making 2 gifts (actually got one done tonight, just have to do the second one)
Wrap gifts (which involves finding boxes for odd shaped gifts, printing labels, and then finally wrapping the gifts.)
Shopping for food supplies for Bell Christmas at Steinbach.
Figure out how I'm getting to Rygiel Christmas at Mitch and Carmen's.
Packing up gifts for Rygiel Christmas and Bell Christmas, and make sure I don't put something in the wrong bag.
Make sure there is gas in the car for driving out to Steinbach and back three days in a row.
...and last but not least, have fun spending time with family.

As least I'll time to recuperate after all the fun is over, since I'm still looking for a job.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
